Get mods
Find a mod on the Mods page and add it to your game with one click, or by hand.
The Mods page lists the mods made for Wax. You can search it, filter it by category and tag, and open a mod to read what it does.
Add to game
Press Add to game on a mod. Your browser asks if it may open Wax. Say yes.
Wax then downloads the mod, checks it and puts it in your game's mods folder.
- If ICARUS is running, the mod loads at once and a notice appears in the game.
- If ICARUS is not running, a small window tells you the mod was added. It is there the next time you start the game.
The button works on a PC where Wax was installed with Install Wax.cmd. If nothing happens when you press it,
use the download below.
Download a zip
Press Download zip on a mod. Extract the zip into the mods folder of Wax:
...\steamapps\common\Icarus\Icarus\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\Wax\mods\The zip holds one folder, named after the mod. That folder goes straight into mods. When the game is running,
the mod shows up on the Mods page of the Wax menu, switched off. Switch it on there.
Manage your mods
Open the Wax menu (F8) and go to Mods. Each mod has a card:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enabled | Switches the mod on or off. It stays that way after you restart the game. |
| Reload | Loads the mod again. |
| Up and down arrows | Move the mod in the list. Mods load in this order. |
| Bin | Removes the mod. Wax asks first. |
A removed mod is not erased. Its folder is renamed so that it starts with .removed-, and Wax leaves folders
with such names alone. To get the mod back, rename the folder to the mod's name again.
Updating a mod
Press Add to game again, or extract the new zip over the old folder. With the button, the old copy is kept
under a .removed- name.
